Oversized and Excess Baggage

Transportation of oversized baggage (the size of one piece of baggage in the sum of three dimensions exceeds 203 cm) requires additional payment at the airport ticket office or the airline office. If the weight of your baggage exceeds the free baggage allowance, you will need to pay the difference in weight at the established fare. Transportation of oversized baggage is paid for according to its actual weight.

Payment is certified by a receipt for paid baggage. The airport employee, who handles baggage check-in, will check the receipt and issue you a boarding pass. Payment for excess baggage is made for each kilogram exceeding the free baggage allowance according to the fares established by the airline carrying out the transportation.

Baggage with dimensions exceeding 203 cm in the sum of three dimensions is accepted for carriage only with the permission of the carrier in the presence of free tonnage. In case of having long, heavy, bulky baggage, the passenger must provide devices for labeling it for transportation, carrying out loading and unloading operations using the mechanization tools.

Attention: if the aircraft is fully loaded and if the weight of your baggage significantly exceeds the free baggage allowance, the carrier may refuse its transportation. We recommend coordinating this issue with the airline representative and specifying when purchasing an air ticket.

If you are carrying baggage that exceeds the free baggage allowance set by the airline for your class of service (excess baggage):

After weighing your baggage, the airport employee will indicate the actual quantity and weight of baggage in the flight coupon and direct you to the ticket office or to the airline representative to resolve the issue of payment. The difference between the actual weight and the free baggage allowance is paid at the established rate. After payment, you will receive a receipt for paid baggage. Payment for excess baggage is made for each kilogram exceeding the free baggage allowance according to the fares established by the airline carrying out the transportation. After the employee checks and removes the corresponding coupon from the receipt for paid baggage, you will receive a boarding pass.

Please do not forget to check the conditions for the carriage of excess baggage in advance at the airline's office.
